“AJ & RG Barber Ltd began cheese making on the Somerset family farm in 1833, and has built on this heritage through six generations of the Barber’s family. Today we purchase milk from our own farms, and from an additional 140 dedicated Somerset and Dorset dairy farms we know and trust. We process milk into award winning cheese, butter and whey products marketed domestically and internationally.
We are delighted to have won a Good Dairy Commendation Award. At Barber’s we are committed to improving animal welfare standards, and work collaboratively with our farmers and their vets to encourage improving health and welfare achievements on farm.
With this award we hope to strengthen our health and welfare credentials, and appreciate just how important this approach is with customers and our farmers alike."
